The Montreal Theatre is screening the film “The Merger” on Wednesday 5th February at 7.30pm, as a thank you to all who have given selfless duty in the face of the recent horrendous bushfires – this includes all who have either been impacted by the bushfires or those who have stepped up and given selfless duty in the face of the towering inferno of fires. These people have shown that the Australian Spirit is alive and undefeated against terrible odds.
“The Merger” is an Australian comedy/drama film. The film explores the decline of a cash-strapped Aussie Rules rural football club in Bodgy Creek and the recruitment of refugees to keep the club viable.
There is no admission charge for this screening.
We welcome all personnel from the Rural Fire Service, Emergency Services, Police, Defence Force members, all the wonderful volunteers who assisted, and are still assisting, together with those whose lives, or livelihoods have been impacted by the fires.
