October is Mental Health Month and this years’ theme is TUNE IN; to yourself, your community and the effect of mental health and stigma. The mental health and Bushfire recovery teams are conscious of the impact of the impact of drought and bushfire and then the isolation of COVID 19 on our communities. We wanted to hold a fun and accessible event for mental health month and have chosen to screen the movie Inside Out as it has positive mental health messages for all age groups.Tumut Community Mental Health and the MLHD Bushfire Recovery Clinicians are planning to hold five drive-in movie events where participants can experience a normal family outing in a COVID-Safe way and are enabled to tune in to the resources and services in their community that can support them, their friends and families to stay well during this difficult time and build long term resilience. Participants will arrive by car and be given a ‘show bag’ of resources. We will use parking marshals to ensure appropriate distancing between cars and COVID marshals to manage use of facilities during the event. Look forward to seeing you there!
